Armand Van Helden is best known for the speed garage genre, remixing various artists with samples of funk, soul, R&B and hip hop. From humble beginnings as a Dj in Boston he soon began to dominate the scene as the resident DJ at the Loft, one of Boston’s top clubs. His most notable releases include the remix of ‘Professional Widow’ by Tori Amos and ‘Bonkers’ by British rapper Dizzee Rascal.
