Oasis poster - Some Might Say. Very Rare Original

£39.99 GBP
OSMS

An original Oasis poster for the classic "Some Might Say" single.  Not many left.

Some Might Say was released as the first single in April 1995 from the (What's the Story) Morning Glory? Album. Written by Noel Gallagher, Some Might Say provided Oasis with their first number one in the UK Singles Chart.

Some Might Say is probably the song that most defines Oasis, it was also the 31st biggest selling single in the UK of 1995 selling 458,000 copies. This was the last track that featured the original drummer Tony McCarroll due to tensions between him and Noel Gallagher. The band won the BBC vote for best album of the last 30 years, for What's The Story, Morning Glory.

The poster relates to the sleeve artwork, where art director Brian Cannon's father is photographed with a wheelbarrow and his mother with mop. The wheelbarrow is a play on the lyrics of the song, "The sink is full of fishes".

A makeshift promo video was created using footage from the "Cigarettes & Alcohol", US "Supersonic" and UK "Whatever" videos as Liam failed to show up. Noel Gallagher gave the Les Paul guitar he plays in the music video to Gerry Mckay, Gallagher's doppelgänger in the official Oasis tribute band, No Way Sis.
