Fields of the Nephilim poster - Revelations

Released in 1993 by Beggars Banquet Records, ‘Revelations’ is a compilation album by English gothic rock band Fields of the Nephilim. Tracks in the album included ‘Moonchild’, ‘Chord of Souls’ and ‘Last Exit for the Lost’, but some releases included a bonus disc containing ‘Preacher Man (Contaminated Mix)’, ‘Shiva’ and ‘In Every Dream Home A Heartache’ among other records.

Fields of the Nephilim formed in Hertfordshire in 1984, coupling their sounds of gothic and psychedelic rock with cowboy dusters and a weather-beaten look achieved by dusting themselves down with flour. The bags of white powder thrown in the air by fans at concerts caught the eye of the law in 1988, when police detained the band at midnight in their hotel after a show at Nottingham Rock City, only to discover that the 13lbs of powder in their tour bus was flour.
