Original litho-printed Rage Against The Machine poster for the single release of ‘Sleep Now in the Fire' from their album 'The Battle of Los Angeles'.
Whilst filming the music video for ‘Sleep Now in the Fire’ – directed by Michael Moore – the band famously caused the doors of the New York Stock Exchange to close after attempting to storm into the exchange followed by over a hundred fans.
Moore had permission to use the steps of Federal Hall but didn’t have permits to shoot on the sidewalk, the street, a loud-noise permit or the correct parking permits for wall street. Moore was later quoted saying, 'An act that I am sure tens of thousands of downsized citizens would cheer”.
