An original litho-printed Linkin Park poster for the Meteora album.
Meteora is the second album released on March 25, 2003 following Reanimation, a collaboration album featuring remixes of tracks from their debut album Hybrid Theory. Meteora is a title taken from the Greek Orthodox monasteries sharing the same name.
With a similar sound to Hybrid Theory the album took a year to record and the main artwork was assembled by the band with help of 'The Flem' and 'Delta'. Singles from Meteora were released over a year, including 'Somewhere I Belong', 'Faint', 'Numb', 'From the Inside' and 'Breaking the Habit'. 'Lying from You' was released as a single.
Meteora is the most successful album in the history of the Alternative Songs chart, selling over 20 million copies worldwide, and is certified six times platinum by the RIAA. Meteora was also ranked number 36 on Billboards Top 200 Albums of the Decade. It's the first Linkin Park album to feature Dave Farrell rejoining the band in 2000.
