Original ‘Electronic’ poster (printed in metallic silver and black) for the single release ‘Forbidden City’
Electronic were an English alternative dance supergroup formed by Bernard Sumner (of New Order) and guitarist Johnny Marr (of The Smiths). They co-wrote the majority of their tracks between 1989 and 1998, collaborating on three tracks in their early years with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys and Karl Bartos former Kraftwerk member on nine songs in 1995.
‘Forbidden City’ was the lead single from Electronics 2nd album ‘Raise the Pressure’. The song received substantial radio play in the UK and remains one of Johnny Marr's favourite Electronic songs.
