Inspiral Carpets Cool As disc set poster

‘Cool As’ by Inspiral Carpets was released in May 2003, it was a 3-disc compilation album featuring collection of the band’s singles, rare songs and B Sides. ‘Cool As’ peaked at 65 on the UK album chart and featured the singles “This is How It Feels and “Saturn 5”. Inspiral Carpets were part of Madchester music scene alongside the Charlatans and Happy Mondays. 

The poster features retro milk bottles showing a cow wearing shades, with the wording “cool as” on vibrant coloured squares. Possibly inspired by 1980s TV ads for Milk. 

While the Inspiral Carpets disbanded in 1995, their influence on the British alternative music scene continues to be recognised, and their cool as poster as remainder of those cherished Madchester days.
