Original Rolling Stones poster for the Bridges to Babylon Tour
This Rolling Stones poster for the Bridges to Babylon Tour was a worldwide concert staged in support of the Bridges to Babylon album. The tour visited stadiums between 1997 to 1998 grossing over $274 million, becoming the second-highest-grossing tour at that time, behind the Stones own Voodoo Lounge Tour of 1994–1995.
Starting in Spetmber 1997 in Canada, with fifty-six shows in North America, nine shows in South America, six shows in Japan and thirty-seven shows in Europe. It concluded on September 1998 in Turkey.
The show opened with a circular central screen exploding with fireworks, with Keith Richards playing the classic riff from "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". Fans who had purchased a ticket could also vote for a song which they wanted to hear via the web.
It was believed 4.577 million people attended the tour over the 108 shows.
This is an iconic original Rolling Stones poster produced to promote the tour and one of a few that have been carefully stored and preserved since 1998.
