Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols was the only studio album released by the Sex Pistols. Released on 28 October 1977 by Virgin Records, the album was considered a game-changer in the music industry and influenced many bands and musicians.

Frequently titled 'the most influential punk album', it is one of the most important albums of all time.

The Sex Pistols were controversial, swearing on live TV, fired from two record labels, and had been banned from playing live in some parts of the UK.

Adding to the controversy, the album title with some people finding the word "bollocks" offensive. many record stores refused to stock it and some charts refused to list it, showing a blank slot instead. Due in part to its notoriety, and in spite of the sales bans at major retailers, the album debuted at number one on the UK Album Charts. Only a few weeks later, on 17 November it went Gold and remained a best-seller for over a year, spending 60 weeks in the top 25.
