Released in May 2002 this highly anticipated film took $100 million dollars in its first weekend on general release, it became the third grossing film of that year and 42nd on the list of highest grossing films of all time(to date). Staring Tobey Maguire, William Defoe and James Franco, Spiderman became the most successful film based on a comic book. Some of these original posters showed The World Trade Centre reflected in Spider-Man's eyes, resulting in their withdrawal following 9/11. These posters are from the original print run and therefore very rare.
